The Arctic, Art and Guatemalan Rainforests
New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada – New Westminster training company Advance Corporate Training Ltd. (ACT) has always had a hidden agenda. Now, they are making it known. ACT has been built on a philosophy of empowerment through education. Many local non-profit organizations appreciate ACT’s pro-bono activities and support of community development groups and projects. ACT is proud to announce the formalization of its social agenda through the development of the ACT Spirit Foundation.
This Foundation is committed to helping individuals and organizations develop the skills, habits and attitudes needed to build positive and productive lives and communities. The ACT Spirit Foundation has many interests:
ACT staff recently returned from the midnight sun of the high arctic after traveling to Inuvik, NT to provide volunteer training and support services for the Great Northern Arts Festival.
Closer to home, the ACT office switched their office coffee to locally roasted, organic, fairly traded coffee that supports a growers’ cooperative in Guatemala. ACT also sells this coffee to the public with 100% of funds raised supporting Spirit Foundation projects.
Next on the agenda? ACT is working through its China office with the Women’s Ministry, developing programs to enable young women to more fully participate in the business environment in China.
Meanwhile, on the home front, ACT continues its regular business of empowering local businesses, organizations and the public at large through seminars and workshops.
