BBOT Members Cruise to Success

Participants Can Get Training with their Tan

New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada – Advance Corporate Training Ltd. (ACT) has teamed with the Burnaby Board of Trade (BBOT) to deliver a Seminars at Sea training program – a series of courses delivered during the BBOT’s eight-day Mexican Rivera cruise this fall, from November 8 to November 16.

The cruise will feature a series of continuing education workshops for discerning entrepreneurs and companies. The workshops will be offered at a minimal cost for the travellers and will take place while the ship is at sea so participants will be able to combine their performance improvement initiatives with on-shore excursions and regular holiday activities.

“This is a great opportunity for Burnaby business owners and their employees to get a lot more out of their normal vacation,” said ACT President Janet Dean. “After returning from the trip, they will be able to immediately use their new knowledge and skills. They will come back from vacation as better owners, managers and employees.”

The BBOT Cruise will take place aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Star. Ports of call include Acapulco, Zihuatenejo/Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas. BBOT members are eligible for a significant discount on the cruise, which is specially priced from $599 and includes shipboard accommodation, on-board entertainment, dining and activities, and port charges.

“The BBOT Cruise was developed to provide our members with the chance to build strong relationships in a fun and relaxing atmosphere,” said Darlene Gering, Executive Director of the BBOT. “With the addition of the Seminars at Sea program, our members will also gain valuable information on leadership, management and communications – all as part of their cruise experience!

“We’ve had a tremendous response to this event already, and we look forward to making the BBOT Cruise an annual event.”
